    Quote of the Week basics
    from Bob Avakian

"There is nothing more unrealistic than the idea of reforming this system into something that would come anywhere near being in the interests of the great majority of people and ultimately of humanity as a whole."

Revolution Books is NOT about learning to survive on increasingly shrinking ground, accepting the status quo... a relic of a bygone age. It is about contributing to a new atmosphere of critical engagement, putting revolution back into the conversation...

    Fiction Books Club
"The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey" by Walter Mosley

Our fiction book club normally meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month but this month will be on the 4th Sunday. "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey" is a fascinating book and a quick read by one of the U.S.'s most prominent Black fiction writers. We know this will be an energetic discussion since we expect readers will have strong likes and criticisms. The book is available at the store or at any library.

    Giant used book sale

This is a call for your used books. We know many of you have stacks of books you know you'll never re-read. Donate them to our book sale to help us pay the rent! Bring them in anytime. Go through your shelves now. If you can't get them to the store give us a call and we'll arrange to pick them up.

    Reminder: Every Wednesday evening

Join our weekly discussion of a single article in Revolution Newspaper. We begin by reading the article aloud so that everyone can be included in the discussion. This Wednesday we'll be discussion the article: "The Aftermath of the Boston Bombing... And the Far Greater U.S. Crimes in Guatemala." If you don't know what crimes in Guatemala this refers to, it's further evidence of the cover-up that has been going on, so join us on Wednesday evening this week and every week!
